The third largest Parisian event after the Nuit Blanche and Paris Plage, the Fête des Vendanges (Grape Harvest Festival) is an opportunity to experience the spirit of Montmartre, a district beloved of Parisians and visitors alike. Mixing artistic performances, gastronomy and wine experiences, a music festival and the participation of the locals, this festival invites everyone to enjoy it in their own way.

The Fête des Vendanges: tradition

Since 1934, this event has honoured not only the Montmartre vineyard but also the taste and passion of the participants for wine and gastronomy. Thus, the Village du Goût (Taste Village) invites you to enjoy tastings and chats with passionate producers. You can also register for a guided tour of the vineyard. Don't miss the Grand Défilé (Big Parade), which brings together hundreds of associations from all over France. In terms of tradition, the children’s choir shows how the neighbourhood spirit endures. Everyone also looks forward to the grand closing ball, which wraps up the festival in style!

The Fête des Vendanges: creativity

For a long time, the event has also welcomed artistic creativity. Visual performances include the Montée du Futur on the district’s famous steps and the Passage du Futur exhibition, a contemporary music festival, theatre, dance and more. It’s a wealth of artistic expression. Whether you throw yourself into the excitement and fun of the parade and the ball or prefer the quieter and more reflective exhibition venues, you’ll be able to participate in this great popular event in your own way.

The festival takes place from October 6th to 10th in the streets, parks and gardens of the Montmartre district, as well as throughout the 18th arrondissement. The schedule is a full one, so it’s best to check out the programme beforehand. Of course, our team is at your service to help you make the most of it all!
