Creating a dialogue between fashion and art
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first fashion show of Yves Saint-Laurent, six major Parisian museums have chosen to address the question of the great designer’s inspirations and his relationship to art. During his lifetime, the couturier was always forthcoming about his fascination for art in all its forms, from classic to contemporary and even pop culture. Thus, this exhibition was born. Taking place in six Parisian museums, each examining a different aspect of his work and inspirations, it offers an exciting dialogue between haute couture and art in the creations of Yves Saint-Laurent.
